Young Tierney changed schools as a kid. She first attended St. Margaret’s School while growing up in Westport, Connecticut. From there, she switched to the Unquowa School in Fairfield.

When Tierney lived in Europe in around 1934, she was a student at Brillantmont International School in Lausanne, and then she attended Miss Porter’s School in Connecticut after coming back to the US two years later.

The couple had two daughters together: Antoinette Daria Cassini (1943 – 2010) and Christina “Tina” Cassini (1948 – 2015). Oleg and Gene parted ways in 1952, after which she remained married to W. Howard Lee from 1960 until he passed away in 1981.
